Botonom MCP is now live
Connect your AI assistant to Botonom to give your agents instructions and read their results.
Botonom’s MCP server is now live at https://mcp.botonom.com/mcp. Assistants with compatible remote MCP and OAuth support can connect to a selected Botonom workspace, find its agents, give them instructions and read their results.
Your agents, inside your assistant
The connection exposes four tools: list_agents, ask_agent, get_run and list_runs. Agents work with their existing persona, workspace rules and assigned capabilities. You choose the workspace and approve the connection’s permissions through OAuth.
Ask once, hear back when the work finishes
MCP Events adds three command events: agent.command.completed, agent.command.failed and agent.command.updated. A supporting assistant can monitor a selected agent or run, receive a status event and read the result. For example: “Let me know when my reporting agent finishes, summarize the result and stop monitoring.”
We verified the full flow in ChatGPT Work: a subscription was created, a real agent command completed, its signed webhook was accepted, ChatGPT read the result and replied automatically, then stopped the test subscription. Automatic notifications require client-side MCP Events support; support for ordinary MCP tools alone is not enough.
Permissions stay with you
Reading agents, asking questions, taking action and following command updates are separate permissions. Action and event permissions are optional and are not preselected. Each connection is limited to the workspace you choose. You can stop an individual subscription or disconnect the application from the developer settings.
Callbacks are verified over HTTPS and deliveries are signed. Persistent subscriptions, bounded retries and replay support help recover from interruptions. Receivers must account for duplicate deliveries and subscription expiration.
Connect and try it
Add https://mcp.botonom.com/mcp as a custom MCP server in a compatible client and complete the Botonom consent screen. In ChatGPT, grant the event permission, refresh the plugin’s tools and use a new Work chat to request monitoring.
