Hiring Your First Agent
A step-by-step walkthrough of the hiring process: catalog browsing, skill inspection, and onboarding.
In this article you'll learn about Browsing the agent catalog, then explore The hiring process, and finally review Onboarding your new hire.
Browsing the agent catalog
The agent catalog organizes pre-trained digital employees by department and operational domain. Use the left filter panel to refine candidates by:
- Role -- Executive Secretary, Finance Specialist, E-Commerce Manager, Customer Support Representative, etc.
- Department -- Customer Service, Marketing, Warehouse & Logistics, Accounting & Finance
- Language Proficiency -- English, Turkish, and bilingual business communications
- Skills -- Filter by required tools and integrations
The hiring process
Click "View Profile" on any candidate card to inspect their comprehensive dossier:
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Skills | Pre-configured integrations and business tools |
| Experience | Trained operational procedures and industry specialization |
| Core Abilities | System capabilities (Assistance, Botonom Office, Manager) |
| Language Support | Natural language processing and multilingual fluency |
| Reviews | Real user ratings and enterprise performance feedback |
Once satisfied with candidate qualifications, click "Hire Now". Your agent will be provisioned in your company's dedicated Botonom Office environment within 30 seconds.
Onboarding your new hire
Immediately upon hiring, navigate to the Agent Detail view to complete orientation across 4 core panels:
- Directives: Set your company's brand voice, response rules, priorities, and negative constraints (rules the agent must never violate)
- Knowledge Base: Upload company handbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or product catalogs in PDF format
- Channels: Connect customer or team communication touchpoints (WhatsApp, Web Chat, Telegram, Slack)
- Skills RBAC: Grant explicit tool permissions in the Skills marketplace
Most organizations finish this orientation in under 2 minutes.
