Purpose
Firing an agent permanently removes it from your workspace at the end of the current billing cycle. This is a destructive action — the agent's configuration and conversation history will be archived.
Prerequisites
- Admin role required (Managers cannot fire agents)
- Recommended: Export any important conversation logs before firing
This action cannot be undone after the billing cycle ends. The agent's data is archived for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
Step-by-step
- Go to Agents dashboard
- Click the agent card → Settings → Fire Agent
- Read the confirmation dialog carefully
- Type the agent's name to confirm
- Click Confirm Fire
Agent Card → Settings → Fire Agent → Type name → Confirm
The agent remains active until the end of your current billing cycle, then transitions to OFFLINE permanently.
Expected result
| Timeline | What happens |
|---|---|
| Immediately | Agent marked as "Pending Release" |
| End of cycle | Agent goes OFFLINE, removed from dashboard |
| +30 days | Archived data permanently deleted |
| Next invoice | Agent no longer billed |
If firing drops your headcount below a tier threshold, the downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle.
